Company History
NorthStar was originally formed to take advantage of unique market opportunities created with the deregulation of public utilities brought about by the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Its original focus was in the energy market. As a sales and marketing company, NorthStar was soon approached by other service companies interested in utilizing NorthStar's expertise to promote their products and services. NorthStar entered the home security industry beginning in 2000-this was the beginning of NorthStar Alarm Services.
